Well, Daydream Developments is pleased to host yet another market test survey! This daydream is the work of a group of people located in Surrey, B.C. Canada. Here’s the survey introduction.
Community gardens today are almost exclusively built and managed by municipalities or non-profits. While these programs provide valuable green space, they often face funding limits, long waitlists, and slow expansion.
We’re exploring whether there’s room for a privately operated, self-sustaining model — one that could offer more access, better amenities, and year-round opportunities. Your feedback will help determine whether such a model is realistic in our region.
We have assessed the application for free survey hosting (and assistance in development) and here’s how it stacked up.
- Your daydream must be community based, community minded, and community driven: Community gardens meet this requirement. They are proven to reduce stress, increase happiness, support the community within which they are implemented.
- Your daydream has to be something that will help make our communities more wholesome: Encouraging gardening, organically growing your own food, creating a place to socialize with like minded folks all meet this requirement!
- Your daydream must be self-sustaining once up and running: The concept they have shared is privately driven and funded by the revenue centers they plan to implement. The financial model passes the review we put it through.
If you are located in BC, Canada – and living in any of the following cities: Surrey, White Rock, Langley, Richmond, New Westminster or Port Coquitlam and have an interest in gardening, you can help! The survey can be found here:
